    Hi All,
I am in the middle of redoing/upgrading a small layout I have. It is kinda small so I am wiring it for DC operation. I am also making blocks so as to leave locomotives sit around when not in use. I am confused on where exactly to place the insulated rail joiners in relationship to the switch turnouts. Do the switch turnouts have anything to do with placement of the insulated joiner. I would really appreciate some feedback and or direction to this issue. Thanks

Generally, you want the insulated joiners at the branches of switches, after the frog. The switch, itself, is generally included in the mainline or approaching block. You want the branches from the switch to be isolated from each other.
