Just when you think all is normal, I switch it up on ya! I'm heading to upstate NY to cover an event for the magazine and will not be here tomorrow so this is getting posted now. I'll be in airplane mode this weekend for my job, so no trains except maybe Sunday night. So how about you? What plans are on the table? Let us know and we'll all get together on Monday the 19th and show each other what we accomplished.
Running to the LHS tonight.. Picking up some more track for a passenger main.. and probably a few other things as usual.. Can't just come home with the necessary things.
I'll be hand-painting the window trim on Merchants Row. Joy. I've got a steamer that needs work, and a road to pave, and a number of other little projects that I've just never gotten to. If I can locate the Tsunami in my piles of unfinished stuff, I might start installing it in my GP20, a Walthers Trainline model that I got for a rediculously low price a while back. I've got some MU hoses to spruce it up a bit, and it needs some light weathering.
Spent a couple hours this morning heavily modifying a 11-105 chassis to fit the 59-tonner. One more mod and it'll be ready to go. So for this weekend, I hope to finish lettering, numbering, and hopefully dullcoting the boxcab, 59-tonner, and idler/reach gondola. More photos coming soon.
For the fouth month in a row more Caspia trees to build. I'm at about 80 and probably will go with 150. Jim
Not much in the way of trains this weekend. I have to get the rest of my firewood under cover and try to get my garage/workshop straightened up so I can get my vehicles in there. If I can get to my tablesaw I may try to make a carry case for my clubs Digitrax unit so we can take it to shows with our T-Trak layout.
i need to kick the wifes crap out of my train room!!! i have the two 18" hcd's i need two more and the shelf brackets. Then i need a track plan!!
My plans for this weekend including getting all of my boxes out of the garage and inventorying (or starting an inventory) of what I have since everything has been in hibernation for a few + years.
Hoping to find time to paint the loco house I just built. Then maybe work on the British diorama. Mike
