I've got a train show to go to, the Greenberg Show in Wilmington, MA. It's a pretty standard show, twice a year, but I always enjoy going to look at the layouts and maybe pick up some detail parts. No plans for big expenditures, just a couple of relaxing hours. I've got ballast sprinkled down around the sidings along the back wall of Mooseport. I'll have to glue that down first. Then I'll cut and shape some more of the cobblestone sheets around the street-running track. I plan to build a small team-track platform, too, and once that's done I'll be able to make a first cut at painting and weathering for the cobbles, in an isolated area before I start the main section. So how about everyone else? Hopefully the honey-do list of yard work won't take too much of your modeling time away. I've got to spend about 5 hours making the corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick's day, but 4 1/2 hours of that is just letting it boil with very little attention required.
Today I will do some more scenicking on some of my T-Trak modules. Tomorrow I will be back at the museum to do more on the layouts wiring. Sunday I will be traveling up to Albany NY with my T-Trak modules for a show at the Polish Comunity Center. I'll be there with the Abany N-Trak Club.
With rain coming(finally). I am going to try and get my control panels built. So I can finally get my turnouts wired up. With crossed fingers, Wolf
Train show in New Braunfels and ops session on Saturday; fun run time on Sunday. I plan to get my Bakatronics arc welder simulator assembled sometime this weekend. Maybe installed, too.
Thanks for getting the Weekend thread started Mister Beasley, I was hoping to get in to Illinois by 7:30 this morning, but getting a late start and traffic made me late. I Just got in and there is good weather here in the Land Of Lincoln, so while I'm here mainly to see Angela and the kids I'll probably sneek in some railfaning. The Bloomer line is just up the road and I have some Atlas GP9's ready for detailing so...
