Welcome back to the beginning of the weekend! I hope you all have some great plans, let's get started. Saturday: The owner of the dealership is experimenting with slightly shorter hours, so this Saturday we close at 4:00, not 5:00. Will this mean I get anything done on my layout? Probably not, but I'll take a little extra weekend! Sunday: Jared will be heading back for college but I will be working on a monumental task. I figure it will take me about three months. The plan is too sell off all the old RC and old stuff that Angela and I no longer want or need. This means cleaning out the garage, attic and the common room. The goal is to have an organized attic with shelves for seasonal items, a clean garage for my wood working, Harley and eventually Mustang, and finally a clean common room where my point to point HO layout will go. So Sunday should be the start of an epic purge. We want to move into our own house eventually so starting now on removing clutter makes sense. So how about you? What do you have on your list of things to get done? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 13th to see how we all did. Until then, have a great weekend, be safe and as always... High Greens!
Saturday: Joining a few friends for an OPS session -- on the NYO&W -- Going to be a blast. Then - I hope to get my latest projects details added on - and painted. Sunday: If my plans to finish detailing my latest project happened -- then I will clear coat it - and final assembly. If not -- then I will add the final details -- and, still hope to clear coat and final assembly. Y'all have a grand weekend, Wolf
2 items on the weekend plans: Work on a hidden siding (cut plywood, etc) that will run below the coal branch. This siding will be used as a hidden passing siding on the mainline. Work on the double-track deck girder bridge that will parallel the box bridge over the gorge at the center of the layout. (See pict') Have a great, great weekend all.
Preliminary test fitting revealed a turnout throw (sliding plate) would be under the passenger station porch awning. This necessitated moving the turnout one inch south. Therefore, this is now job one. Followed by passenger station platform construction and more.
When it comes to Weathering in Z- scale - from very far to very close; ....closer..... ....more closer ..... ...and now in reality you would be so close that your nose could touch the 1:220 loco.... Best, Sven
Going to continue on the Moore's Warehouse kit this weekend along with some CAD work on an experimental project. It's nice to be doing some modeling for a change.
