Well another fast weekend. Did you accomplish what you set out to do? A pretty productive weekend for me. I was able to finish nscalerone's locomotives and box them up.

I should be able to ship them today or tomorrow. I worked on the next project, weathering a friends flat car set as well. Unfortunately, no work on my home layout.

How about you? Posting progress pictures is highly encouraged.

Just a note: Due to Thanksgiving this week, this theme will change somewhat and will start on Wednesday night. I'm sure some of you will be able to get out of the "Black Friday" shopping experience and do something RR related. At least I hope so for your sake.

The stars aligned, and the scrapyard got done.

I'll probably add some figures, and I've got a Jordan steam shovel kit that may end up here, too, but overall, this project, which started in the dark days of the NE power failure when a man is left with nothing but a utility knife and a bottle of glue, came out pretty well. I lit it up for a nighttime shot as well.

I also got to the Greenberg Train Show. I picked up a couple of vehicles and some detail parts, and looked at layouts. The Northeast N-Track modular layout had a very nice set of Japanese scenes, complete with Pagodas and bullet trains, that I'd never seen before.

MisterBeasley, that is one fine looking scrapyard, especially under the night lights...

Pretty good weekend... I fixed up a panel under my layout that holds electronics boards... it swings down for maintenance access...

And I wired up the overhead light in my yard tower to LocoNet... you can see me toggling it on and off with my Zephyr here. The Yardmaster was NOT happy...

Sunday I took my new F-150 pickup out for a shakedown cruise up the NY Thruway to Albany. I had my T-Track modules in a show there. I did get some work done on the switch project for my club on Saturday. Sorry no pictures. I forgot and left my cameras home.

I put together an old Varney ATSF reefer kit - not much to put together - brake gear, brake wheel, roof, and a pair of Kadees. Another one of those old kits I like to sniff out at train shows and swap meets.

The room for the Pueblo & Salt Lake RR has the backdrop.I have still to build quite a few turnouts for the new staging yard, dual gauge turnouts. Therefore I will use the chance for a reminiscence of Silver Valley RR. In six weeks for the January meeting of the Narrow Gauge Division I will dismatle the modules for the meeting. Then the room will be empty and I start building the Pueblo & Salt Lake RR.

There're will be six weeks to enjoy the modular home layout and take pictures.

This weekend was crazy busy. My daughter had a volleyball clinic on Saturday and Sunday. This meant that I had to drive back and forth to Hatboro all weekend. It may only be a 30 mile trip one way but with the traffic and the detours it was nuts. She enjoyed the clinic and feels she learned more about setting. She can’t wait for the club season to begin. My son had to attend a Council wide meeting regarding his Philmont trip. They explained the logistics of the trip. Where they are flying, what they are doing and what is expected of them. He is excited about the white-water rafting trip that they will be doing. He is not too sure about the tours they will be doing of a couple of National Parks. Since my wife had to work both days this meant that I was the driver for all this fun.

In between trips we got all the summer furniture put away. I still need to clean out the fish pond filter and finish winterizing the pond. We also raked the leaves off the front yard.

With everything going on I never made it into the basement except to bring laundry down. My son and I did discuss what we need to do to get the trains running again.

I didn't get anything railroad related done this weekend.

I will have to try again next weekend.

    Love that scrapyard MrB.

I worked on two new grade crossings and adjusted the backscene to match [still a bit rough]
