Well that is it. August is about over and September is right around the corner. I hope September allows me to shut the AC down for a few days, I'm ready for cooler weather. Let's see how we all did. Saturday: As planned and as accomplished. I finished the construction phase of the two buildings for the Athearn Display. By noon, I was painting both a nice "boring" almond color to match the warehouse colors I see around Central Illinois. Unfortunately, the paint is taking forever to dry, no doubt due to the 96% humidity. Even as this morning, both buildings are still ever so slightly tacky and not in your Auntie Grizelda in a bright floral dress tacky! I finished by painting all the doors a blue that matches the corporate colors and called it a day. Sunday: I knew we were going to town so I hurried and got up and started by drawing out the areas for pavement. I use the Lance Mindheim method of pavement, .060 plastic sheet, primer and tan paint and inda Ink. By noon, I had the pavement done for one side of the module. Ang and I then spent some time together by picking up some parts for my motorcycle then going to a Back the Blue rally. We had some BBQ for dinner then came home. I was hoping to install the doors into the two warehouses but the buildings were still to tacky...RATS. So we took it easy and just like that, the weekend was over. So what about you? What did you accomplish? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Friday, September 3rd to start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, be safe, stay healthy and as always... High Greens!
