"It's nakie!" came rattling out of my 16 year old daughter's mouth after I pulled EVERYTHING off of Playa Desnuda....I pulled all structures and scenery off of my layout and I was cleaning the track with turpentine, and she described my layout well. I have had nothing but trouble with my new BLI NW2 stalling, and I was at my breaking point.

I have wiped down my entire layout with turpentine and No-Ox ID, and I am impressed. That NW2 is now able to crawl over most of mu layout without issue. now that being said, I have cleaned track with turpentine and drank a real nice bottle of sake, so, now pictures or videos.

I have found a new way to clean track.

Is this one of the just released paragon 4 models, or one of the older paragon 3 models?

I have also had nothing but trouble with mine - but it is confined to just the loco. All my other locos run just fine. Only the BLI units have trouble. Yes, units, plural - sadly I bought more than one and have had the same experience with each one.

It's good to hear that yours is running much better now. I am hesitant to go with your track cleaning method though, when all of my non BLI locos run fine.

Glad you discovered NO-OX. I've been using it now for a couple of years and it's been a game changer for me.

Mine are also paragon 3. I was/am hoping that the newer run might have better performance. I always swear I won't buy anymore BLI, but I know myself - if they release it in B&O I probably will buy it.

Can relate about both No-Ox id. In my case it did fix lots of issues with the track. I used 91% alcohol and then the no-ox. No issues since. As to MW-2's from Bli. I have one that has shorted out the dcc card. Shows a shout when i try and put it on the track. The other one works most of the time. Both were Paragon 3. I have heard that the Paragon 4 are better but i don't think i will get anymore. I plan to put a nce decoder in that one MW-2 and see if it runs better. Didn't care about sound anyway.
