The Micro Ace Rapi:t is a cool looking train. I rode on it once to the airport (Osaka -- KIX) on a short jaunt to Korea. It is run by Nankai, a private railway, and is a line that goes out to the airport. I have a Micro Ace version of it as well (they've made a few). There is also a special "Peach" version by Micro Ace that I would like to get. "Peach" is a low cost carrier airline in Japan.

I don't know if it was made as an n-scale runnable model, but there was also a special black Str Wars liveried version for a while in the prototype.

And if you end up going to Japan, don't forget to visit the Kato Museum. I've never been, only heard about it. I *think* it's in Tokyo.

There is the "Hobby Center Kato Tokyo" which is like a museum / demo / factory store all in one. I've not been there yet, but hopefully this summer's trip will allow it.

There is also a KATO factory store that carries limited edition items and stuff in Kyoto at the JR Station.

Tomix also has similar facilities though they just closed their big Tomix World in Omiya (a little north of Tokyo) and are relocating it to Tokyo. Not sure if it is open yet.
