This is one of the original trams used for commuter service in Johannesburg. This was the time of apartheid and blacks rode in silver and green trams and whites rode in red and cream trams. When I was young, we took the tram to go and visit my aunt and cousins. The trams we rode looked just like this one in the picture. They sure rolled and swayed along the way.
