Anyone have the K-Line LIRR GP38-2 units and know whether there is a battery inside to operate the minimal rail sounds the units have and if so how does one charge it and/or replace it? Thanks!
I have a K Line GP-38-2. It does have a 9volt battery clip inside. You have to remove the shell to install it. If you are running TMCC, you don't need the battery to get the extra shut down sounds. If conventional, then it is recommended to install a battery so you'll hear the extras.
