My wife bought me a K-line Diesel switcher w/ coal cars in Reading Colors for Christmas. I love it but I have some concerns. All of the railing is loose. The main handrails that run horizontally along the engine area slide out . looking like spears. What is the best way to hold these in place. Also there are two rails one across the front lower, and one across the back lower that seem to swing freely and are not quite attached. Have you noticed this on yours ? One last thing. This was new in an unopened package but when I took it out it was covered in a light oil. Seems like the smoke fluid all rain out. Thanks for any feedback. Hi Dave, Don't know about the smoke fluid, could have run out. A spot of crazy glue on the horizontal railings might work. IIRC the end rails are supposed to represent the uncoupling levers on the engine. Do post a shot, since I haven't picked up one yet myself. The only Plymouth I've seen was in the box.
