Just minutes ago, and in my hot little hands, I hold the holy grail of tiny tubing. This stuff is 0.5mm brass tubing. It's a little stiffer than the 0.6mm copper tube, but just as easy to bend. As a bonus, all you have to do to cut it is whip out the Exacto knife, roll it over the tube to score it, then start to bend at the score, and it breaks cleanly. I just scored and snapped a 12mm long piece off, and easily threaded a piece of 0.1mm enamel coated wire through it. This will make even more realistic sized gooseneck lamps.

And guess how much it costs? $15.43, or under $20 with tax and shipping for, get this, 100 pieces at 400mm long! Yes 40 meters of this stuff for under $20! A full on lifetime supply, at the same price you pay for 3 smaller sticks of the stainless stuff from a hobby shop. And it solders easily too.

My check is in the mail. Thanks for posting this. We are going to have to pay you a finder's fee for all of these great ideas and resources. BTW. Are you interested in the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge RR? I bought a couple of books (I only wanted one of them) and it was part of the deal. Let me know. It will be a small payment for your great advice and wise words. Jim
