I would not have thought that center beam steel beam construction would not have appeared until about 1900ish. Am I right about that, or would these have been what President Lincoln was cruising around on? Abraham Lincoln was the original Frequent Flyer. He really understood technology, transportation, and communications in a manner that was, I surmise, ahead of his time. As some might know, he was an eminent railroad lawyer before he entered politics.
