I looking for any info on the Mill Creek RR that was in south eastern Missouri then was part of the Missouri Southern. Looking at a house and they say the shop/garage was build in 1872 as a station for the Mill Creek RR. Did a net search and did not turn up much. About all I could find is it was started as a narrow gauge line to service a local saw mill, then was bought by the Missouri Sothern and converted to standard gage. I'm 2000 miles away so can't check anything local, but thinking of moving so looking at places. thanks rich
Where I have lived, one resource was old tax accessors records. Some folks have found information on older Sanborn fire maps. A real estate title company might have info. But they usually want $$$ to do any searching.
