Hey guys, I know most of us here model the big names in railroading, but I had an idea for a new Fallen Flags segment. I'm looking for support for fans of the Maine Central, or maybe the B&M and MEC before Guilford (D&H) is already running. Let me know, as since moving to IL, its harder to get MEC information. I would open this forum to both steam and diesel. I will post a similar msg in the HO and other forums. C'mon New Englander's, show your support
Count my vote. I have been modelling the MEC, B&M, D&H, and BAR for years. I have a lot of books and pics in my collection. I feel fortunate that even though there are very few commercially painted locos in my "flavors", most of what the prototypes owned has been produced by Atlas, Kato and Life Like. I am most proud of my 22 custom painted MEC locos and cabooses. Living here in Maine, I still can find tons of freight equipment in the old green and gold, not to mention, over the years retired locos in their original paint. It is unfortunate that Guilford took over, the railroad is dying. Plus they ruined some great paint schemes! C. Giustra
