Did anyone besides me lust after Lionel but lived with Marx some 65 years ago? Once Marx marketed a Hudson, I had to beg for one for Christmas. The trains were the only things I ever wanted for Christmas back then, and accumulated a lot of track, rolling stock and stuff. This engine was plastic, and a "Santa Fe" not NY Central, though it looked like it had a Belpair firebox/boiler, and boy, was it noisy. I staged this "tabletop" photo as a kid out in the snow. The engine and everything else disappeared after I went away to college. Any info that any of you could share on this engine I would be interested to hear.

Great photo, Fitz. I had Lionel as a boy. When my dad was a boy he wanted Lionel but they were too expensive and his family too poor. He got me a Lionel set for my first Christmas.
