I just picked up several New Micro Engineering Code 83 #4 turnouts at a train show at a real bargin I think. I am building a small classification yard so these will be great. For years I have been using PECO spring loaded switches and I have no need for switch motors because I can reach all of my turnouts. What are the choices for the ME turnouts - Red Caboose manual throws? Is there any way to spring load them. Would appreciate any thoughts
I don't own any ME turnouts, but it is my understanding they have a spring built in just lick Peco for moving the points with a flick of the finger.
the two ME turnouts I have are spring-loaded in same way my Pecos are. perhaps try to restore that functionality?
