    Off topic WGAS!

Just thinking of an old campfire story, spook story, where the ghost in the story is looking for his liver. One of those where you have to be real tired, giddy and everyone wants to be scared silly before going to bed.

Yes, sir...never did hear that one before. Well I'll be here all week trying to figure it out. Grin!

Now what was it we were talking about?

Certainly sounds like a typical Borscht Belt one-liner.
Henny Youngman, Jackie Mason or Rodney Dangerfield would all be reasonable bets for an attribution.

Mickey Katz, maybe, except "Try the liver" would probably be in Yiddish.

At risk of looking out the window and seeing townsfolk with torches with new issues marching on Castle MTL, Joe/Shipsure has posted on TRW on July 28: "We are also making our own AAR Truck with roller bearings that will be released on the UP version...I am sure we will run black ones for the two or three who need to swap out their NS versions...[troll symbol]" He also says that SP and UP light packages are being worked out. It sounds like those would be an add-on rather than a factory install.

You know, it's amusing reading everyone complaining about the shortcomings of the MTL SW1500 when there is a very good chance that the flexicoil trucked version will sell out quickly due to it being the best chassis for modelling the SW1200RS & SW900RS.

Some people just don't have anything better to do.

Off topic (mostly): As a faithful fan of one Mr. Weird Al Yankovic, I was completely appalled at the level of hate directed at him via YouTube comments when a video was posted of his being surprised to learn his latest album was #1 on the Billboard Chart (the first time a comedy album has topped the Billboard 200 since Allan Sherman's "My Son The Nut" did in 1963).

The model train related vitriol across all "networks" including a certain "Forum For Modelers" seems positively amateurish in comparison. Although I do expect the usual (expletive deleted) from the usual suspects in "discussions" of this survey. My takeaway: stop reading comments, and cut down on forums while I'm at it. Modeling is supposed to be fun, and it is; forums largely are not anymore.

Not to change the subject but has any one installed the Digitrax DN126M2 in the SW9? I do know it fits in the LL frame but I am wondering about any need wiring. I picked tidbit on the other forum that the person installed the board upside down to solder to the bottom and that threw me??? Looking for any useful info. Thanks

I think what you may be referring to is swapping the brass motor contacts top to bottom making it easier to easier to get power to the bottom brush holder. I have the new Digitrax board in hand and will probably get one installed today. I'll try to post pics if I do
