The Nazi War Train eBay item said "custom". It would probably have to be custom, not manufacturer original, because German law has some strict regulations about producing commercial items with the Nazi swastika. I have seen quite a few manufacturers' photos of WWII sets with some kind of cross emblem but NOT a swastika, so this set is probably one that some individual did or had done.
Also the camoflage paint does not look like a camoflage paint scheme in minature. The "feathering" area of the paint is much too large- 6 or 8 feet. Don't believe it was ever done on the prototype like that. Though that is just my impression from having seen photographs...

How long does it take to ship Items/ Well, I have to have money to ship. That money comes from the auctions. Those auctions are paid for via paypal. Now guess how long it takes Paypal to give me the money in a form I can use!! 3-4 days!!

So I wait 3-4 days to ship. Because otherwise, I don't have money to ship the items. Simple enough??

Well I hope you put that description in you're listings. I guarantee if I paid 50+ for next day service and the seller meant "next day(after cash arrived)" or in other words a week, I'd leave negative feedback in an instant.

Pay Pal pays me right when the buyer pays me. No lag time. How does it take them 3 or 4 days to pay you?
    What form do you use?
Not trying to be a smart ass, just curious. I didn't know there were other ways for Pay Pal to pay a seller.

I give sellers high marks in the "Detailed Seller Ratings" when they send me an E Mail saying they shipped my item and how it was shipped. I rate them lower when they don't.
I rate them really low if they charge to much for shipping.

I'm pretty sure he means the buyer pays via paypal, but then he wait's for paypal to transfer the money to his bank account or send out a check.

I should clarify my above post. I have no problem if the seller does this just as long as they clearly state it in the listing. But I think you'll find it very hard to sell anything, especially at next day rates, when it takes about a week before actually sending the product. A much better solution would be to get the paypal debit or credit card, then use the card for shipping costs as the money will be available there immediately.

Anyways, we've gone on a bit of a tangent here.. sorry. Lets get back to some humorous listings. :)

The last thing I need to do is get a credit card with Paypal! The account I already have is bad enough!!

I still ship my things by going to a post office. And I still still pay by either cash or by my bank credit card. In either case, these days there isn't any extra fat elsewhere to pay for the shipping today.

Paypal may Seem instantaneous but it really is not - it is still a two to three day service!

    Just to let everybody know!

But if they are selling next day service, then you should expect it THE NEXT DAY!

[priority mail is a 3 day to 30 day service; parcel post is a 14 day to 60 day service. Read the USPS fine print!!! ;)]

Add the fact that one of the halftracks is an American M4 and one of the tanks looks like a soviet T62 turrent on top of a French AMX chassis.

With that MSRP, they must be one of the latest runs. I didn't think they were DCC ready. (At least not drop in decoder ready). The earlier releases were O.K. locos, but were not DCC ready.

Look again, they have rapdios on them. The latest run of E8's had knuckles. The run before that had rapidos. None of the E8's with split frames were DCC ready. There is no Proto anything N scale. I just found the listing on Walthers and it has a bad copy and paste description, mimicing the HO description:

    http://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/433-7682

I have both sets of B&O's from that release and nowhere on the packaging does it say anything about Proto 2000 on it. They sure as heck are not DCC ready, not even DCC friendly.

The dram is the mass of 1⁄256 pound avoirdupois or 1⁄16 ounce.

What this means is a 1/2 dram is 1/32 ounce

Well I suppose that's great if you were planning on making an N scale cinnamon liquer distillery...

Just think of the variety of rolling stock needed to service that!

I have to say the price thing on a relist is nutz - I was watching a Heljan Corner Bank kit at $9.77, no one bid, the guy then relisted it for $19.77 ?? Then there was the one selling a 'new' Walthers Cornerstone Red Wing Mill kit for something like $20 over the current LIST price - yeesh and I think he even wanted almost $10 to ship the darling little 1# $4.80 cost priority mail package. FUN

This was not on ebay but i would not be suprised if one day it was. I was a train show and this guy was trying to sell this old steem engine set. It runs on track that is not made anymore. About the size of O scale but different. The engine he clamed ran on actual steem. So he had the engine, a few cars, and some track for the low low price of $50,000 us. I can safely say he had no takers at the show.

Speaking of Train Show and bad stuff

You reminded me of my pet peeve that I noticed at the 'larger' train shows, started about 2 years ago - This guy - laughing all the way to the bank I guess - took Life-Like scenic blister packs, CUT them up into little sections, and thens sticks them in his little bins and sells them at a cumulative very much higher price. Like the one sheet would have a skid loader, 3 or four oil drums, 2 skids and some crates i think. This person divides that all up into separate cut-out packs, and then sells them at much more than the original blister pack cost.
Now maybe there is some un-explained logical explanation, I dont know, but to me it seemed not only price-gouging, but also illegal?:we2-policeman:
