Instead of typing my notes for class (like I should be doingmg: ), I decided to play a little instead. The results are two more 53 footers: I messed up a little on the first "bump" on the top of the Swift trailer (2nd pic). And I haven't put on front stands yet, they are just too small for me to want to spend that much time cutting them out and putting together - so I think I'm going to modify a small staple and see how that works out. I also have a UPS completely drawn out but not printed or put together, and I'm thinking of trying to do a dump style trailer next (for a coal truck). I also need to play with this camera to try and get my photography skills up to at least 1/2 as good as some of the great photos that everyone else takes - And then I need to get back to designing a layout to put this stuff on!! That's all for now, Later! - Phil
Phil, that is some fantastic work. How long does it take you to make one? From start to finish? I have to say, I'd never guess they were paper, simply amazing!
Excellent work Phil! They are so perfectly scaled. Nobody can tell they are Z Scale from the photo's! I would love to see these rigs placed on your layout. They would go real good with Tim's BP gas station.
BP Gas Station! Phil, you got my gas station? It's been so long since I let it go on ebay I forgot who I sent it too. Hmmmm! Hobo Tim :lightning:
I really really wish that you'd print a bunch of these up with some brief directions, and SELL THEM TO ME!! These are my two FAVORITE trucking lines, bar none. Damn, I wish I knew how you were doing this....... Beautiful work, Phil. Please make me some.
Phil, about your photography: I think you're doing fine, but what I discovered is that you can never have too much light for digital cameras. I have to light my photo areas so much that they're hard to look at without sunglasses:shade: , but it's the only way that the camera achieves a good focus and color balance. Also, a tripod is a must, and ALWAYS use the shutter timer so that there is no chance of camera movement (from you pressing the button) when the shutter is open. Just keep trying, and keep showing us the results. :camera: :teeth:
