Want to know if anyone knows what color of green Norfolk and western painted there MOW equipment in the 1950's. Thanks jt
Looking on the Norfolk and Western Historical Society website, I found several ballast hoppers and sand hoppers in green paint. The color appears to closely match the green that Union Pacific uses for their MOW equipment. It looks to be a shade darker than Penn Central gondola green.
I can't say I know a name for it, looks a bit like a darker/bluer NYC Jade green/PC green. I'd say the UP Kenefick green was too pale.
