You should have watched the Barrett-Jackson auction last week.... Rumor has it that all three serviceable F45 units are back in use. Hmmm. Boxcab E50
Yea,I saw some of the prices at Barrett-Jackson. Maybe I'll get lucky and people will start getting interested in old 4 doors then I can sell my '64 Fury for tons of money!!
Sell it? Shoot, drop a hot, stroked and poked, 440 under the hood, and go Corvette-huntin'! And buy stock in the tire company of your choice.... The SD70ACe's are sweet, and are kept really clean, considering the helper service they are in!
Ummm..... I was there during the real muscle car era. And, speaking as a former professional street rod engine builder, Chev, Poncho, Ford, Mopar, with more than just some stop light experience- You give me a C2 series Coupe, with a mouse motor, and as Jan & Dean sang, all you'll see is "my six tail lights!" Helper service? Lead units? Inquiring minds want to know, and maybe get out and get pics!!!

An SS Dodge, having been at the strips back then, was a factory race car! Big difference....... No news today, as a follow up to the rumor. So, where are the F45's? Boxcab E50
Dang skippy I did! I found it by accident... I have no way to trace them, unles someone knows of a trace site...
She's not leading, but she's loading! Behind a set of Beansniff GEez, she's tied onto a long string of grain hoppers at Helena, as of 1700 MST.... A sucker hole in the thick overcast skies came just in time for this shot......... [ January 30, 2006, 10:16 PM: Message edited by: HemiAdda2d ]
Man I should have pointed the truck across the border. Can you hear the tears Jerr..... Heather telling me I should have gone down isn't helping either... grant
Talk about adding insult to injury..... Sorry to hear that, man! At any rate, the road (I-15) between Helena and Cascade can be quite twisty to the uninitiated, and I am not all that familiar with it, so we left in time to travel the area in daylight. Otherwise, I would have waited to chase that train west! Same goes for a PASKCK with hi-wides and 737's also in Helena...
Been on that road a "few" times. Wait til you see the Trans Canada between Field and Golden. Makes the I-15 through there look straight!! Looks like you had a good day fanning. How much snow was past the Austin Creek trestle? Usually it's snowmobile access only as that's the limit to any plowing. If it hasn't snowed too much you may be able to cross to Blossburg with a 4wd... grant
I have no idea... I saw the road past the snowmobile pulloff was solid ice--as in several inches thick. I didn't think the family sedan could traverse it too well, and didn't want to find its shortcomings on icy roads... I wanna go down witht he truck.. I'll load up a few sandbags too, just in case. If you come down before all my household good get herre, bring a shovel or 2, just in case... Trans-Canada hiway sounds interesting--much like Colorado Rte 72, from Coal Creek to Pinecliffe... Lots of hairpins! Hairy come wintertime!
Yup similiar. Used to be a blast with 6 axles and 105,000 pounds... Crossing back and forth is a great way to spend a day though. Mullan definately has 2 personalities. East and West. grant
