Joe, I used balsa wood for the street running track. I dont know what size, but I pick the thinnest one.
Are you going to stain the wood to weather it or keep the new look? If you do please show the progress because I feel like that is one of the hardest things to do.
Hi John, Are there other modelers building Z Bend modules in your area, and do you get together to display them anywhere? Just curious, since I live in Oakland Park, FL, and I'm a fan of modular model railroading in any scale. Bill in FtL
unfortunatly, I have to say no. In fact, I haven't seen anybody else run z in a show besides my shadow box layouts. With my modules, I hope to connect to Ed Turner's modules in the Atlanta NTS, and thats my motivation for building my them.
Speaking of the Atlanta NTS, there should be a good showing. Jeffrey White and Tim Buehring are planning on displaying Z modules there as well. It may be an opportunity to do a group effort. The bigger the Z modules, the better! Rob
Caught some bicyclists riding through my layout. http://www.trainboard.com/railimages/data/506/IMAG0444.jpg
