Do many of you run N scale accessories (Cars, bins and all those other nice small details) on your layouts? I'm looking at using N cars as they seem to have much more choice, and don't seem to look too out of place. Are other things like buildings likely to look out of place if used as well?

N scale stuff can be used to force perspective, if placed up front and Z scale stuff is further behind. It generates a deeper looking scene than there actually is. Cars, structures, etc can all be used.

I use numerous N scale scenery items all over my layout - boxes, crates, pigeons, trash bags, TV antennas, factories, smoke stacks, etc. You just need to be selective on what you use and plan how they fit in with the rest of the items on your layout.

Same as John here, but the cars are just too big. I do however use the smaller heavy equipment, like small tractors, Wiking backhoes, etc.

I have had some success rescaling N scale stuff from Thingiverse and printing it. Love my 3d printer.
