Took some time off from the roundhouse build and designed a crossing that represents using boards in the center and sides of the crossing. It is sized to work with ME Code 55 track. I'll add some others with different road surfaces in the middle and approaches. If you are interested in printing the truck above go ( HERE ) and ( HERE ). The print file should end up with this printing on its end. For me it seems to print with more detail that way. I also choose the 'Build Plate Adhesion Type' as 'Raft' in Cura. It comes off the raft easily. Bend the raft back between your fingers until it breaks loose. Print these outside boards upright like I mentioned above for the center section with a 'Raft'. You can use the road approaches shown above or come up with something else. Very nice Sumner!!! You have way too much fun with your 3D printer. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. All of your projects are great. Joe
That came up on another board and here was my response.... "Can you design some for Kato unitrack?!" Probably if I had a section of track to take measurements from. I have ME code 55 so used that. I imagine it would work on their code 80 if one shimmed it up and there again if I had a piece I could modify it. I've tried to design it so that it self-centers between the tie spikes on the ME rail easily. Not sure how it would center on Atlas and other brands of track. It wouldn't take much to trim it to work. The same goes for the outer pieces. They are designed to rest on the top of the ME ties and end up at rail height. I put up a file this morning for .... ... a longer approach for when the road base isn't at the same height as the track roadbed, Sumner
