Does anyone know what the part numbers are for the straights and curves that I should use with the #6 Kato unitrak powered left and right turnouts? Those are part numbers 20-202 and 20-203. These are key (correct?) because the roadbed is altered to fit. I can find the part numbers for the corresponding non-powered turnouts. Would those work for both? Thank you, Walman
Any straight or curve will work with a #6. They dont need any special altered track. The diverging track doesnt interfere with the the through track. https://www.amazon.com/N-6-Remote-Right-Hand-Turnout/dp/B0003K1LJQ The #4 comes with 2 straight pieces for the through track. They are 'altered' because of the short radius of the diverging route. It looks like making your own out of any straight or curved piece wouldnt be to hard. https://www.amazon.com/N-4-Remote-Right-Hand-Turnout/dp/B0003K1LJ6 JMHO
It appears that you need a 64mm straight (20-030) and an R718mm 15 degree curve (20-150) to make the geometry work for a passing siding. Is that what you're asking? http://www.katousa.com/images/unitrack/20-853.jpg
And if you can’t find what your looking for you can easily snip the side of the roadbed you need to custom make what you need. Check our mike fifers Kato track videos. Very cool and informative.
The #6's don't require any special tracks. It's the #4's that require (and are sold with) the pieces with modified roadbed.
