Got a Great Lakes Bulk Freighter in N scale--55 inches long--on the bench. Scaled up from Z scale. Too long to photograph tonight. Man, those ships were l--o--n--g--!

Anyone out there actually got enough room for one? Even cut down by 120' scale feet to 48 inches (647 scale feet) long?

Like to see more of that 4 axle scale test car. Maybe a build thread?

I would have to look through my photos I've taken of it to see what progress photos I have. Started life as a junk Bachmann ATSF flat that had no trucks and the molded deck was missing from the top. I scratched my head one day because I got tired of it laying around and figured out I could heavily mod it into what it is. It is lacking some minor details then will be ready for paint

    Pete,

Are you still working on the N scale container ship that was the subject of another thread a few weeks (?) ago?

Yes. It's ready. I've been having a lot of production problems with the new digital cutter. I can offer it as a built up for $650 with the old cutter; I'm trying to offer it as a kit for a whole lot less, but the new big cutter hasn't been able to cut the pieces with enough accuracy. Teething problems, I hope.

Just finish my first play with styrene. Print some textures them on and voila!
Will plan to redo my engine shed with styrene next time

    Hi everyone,
I started casting AMC Pacers this week . I was inspired by some of the forum members that have written about Hydrospan ,and thought I would give it a try .

I've not been looking forward to spending so much time under my train doing wiring. Today I made a slight modification to the layout

    IMG_0084R.JPG

that facilitates my layout making a turn for the better:

Anything to not have to be on my back soldering wires.

Oh come on . What fun is it if you can't set your hair on fire with a soldering iron !!!!

    I like it !
