Wolf, what's in front of the switcher?

A little off topic but, I hung this hammer head today.

I found this little hammer head and seperate handle at a junk shop today.
It is going to replace the junky zamac hammer in my modeling bench.

John I like how your trackwork just flows. Nice looking switches.

Trolley poles. This switcher was used on the pacific Electric. The poles were needed to actuate crossing gates and other stuff.

    Thanks,
    Wolf

Once I get unpacked from moving and find the boxes my 2 F3's, 15 F7's, 3 FP7's and E8/9's. And don't get me started on GP's/SD's.

Nice lot you have there Wolf

Like your plans for the SW1.

    Wolf,
Ahh trolley poles. I thought that's what they might be. They just looked long from that point of view.

    Finally!
I squirrel'd away some Nn3 stuff years, more like decades, ago and I finally got around to laying some track.
My pair of Marklin 3 axle diesels are the old 3 winding motors. I'm probably going to make them into double headed box cabs.
The only steam power will be an RLW Shay. 20180115_001111.jpg

I am not sure what your looking for here. It is a 4'x16" module built for a garage empire that is not likely to be completed so I drilled the faceplates to bolt up to freemoN standards.
The prototype inspiration is in Colton Cali just north of the diamonds. There is very little on site storage and it looks like the tankers are loaded directly onto trucks for delivery.
Would you have more info on the facility?

I can't quite afford another T&P E7 right now, so I had to go ahead and make my own F7 AB set to compliment it. They both still need some touch up and the A needs decals still.

I recognize this. A GHQ 1938 Hiawatha RPO. I have two of them . The truck spacing or car wheelbase took some cutting. The cars look nice when they are done.

I used a Kato smooth side baggage car for a core kit. I left the Kato truck spacing from the car ends when I shortened the car to fit the sides. It came out to be the exact same wheel spacing as the ATSF RPO from the Kato Super Chief set. Probably wrong for the Milwaukee Road RPO but I can live with it.

Ditto on the nice work. I often forget about the T&P.

    Turnouts in Nn3.
I've built a few practice turnouts in N std. They were all pcb ties. This is my first time mixing in wood ties. 20180121_172639.jpg None ever made it into a layout before. I just rolled trucks through them.
