Uh oh, I have 7 assorted Atlas GP locos to paint for the Southern Rwy. Oh well, I like "Paint It Black."

    Hmm... "black" is a bad
    word when you're talk-
    ing about bananas...

Don't worry about the extra lube on body shells. You gotta' clean 'em before paint anyway !!! Just have to make sure no more oozes out of power chassis. My problem was GF seeing me reach for dish soap. "Oh, wanna' play with dish soap ??? I have an idea !!!" DAMN !!!
I've heard that black "nanners" are the best for making cakes and such. I'm on your side, they aren't any good !!!

This side i just bristled the letter faces with this flat brush - This might have worked even better. DAD59D63-55CF-4A09-8CB3-F4618A656F36.jpeg

Technically those grooves are blue. I don't think I have the skills to do that. I bought the paint to do it, but I don't know that I'll make the attempt.

A dark blue Sharpie with a .3mm tip might work. If they make that color. abandoned-fotomat-1a-960x741.jpg

First off amazing you painted that with a brush, great job!

You might want to try something like this set in the future? Still have to be careful, but for me I can control it better then a brush.

Just an idea. I know a few of us have sets like these of some make?

I painted each brick with them. Yeah up close not so good, but put the item on the layout and you can't even tell :) Well a close up photo will.....but...otherwise! Now on some 3D printed items, not so good for me? I painted the entire DQ Grill & Chill with them.

Sharpie makes paint markers w .3mm tips they are TINY. And ya easier to control than a brush.

Detail work takes practice and knowing which direction and pressure to use.

I need some residential. Gas station takes up a lot of real estate. Strip club gets here on Monday or Tuesday. I’m def gonna be nervous about hacking into that foam for the river. 7A96D769-CDA1-404A-AEE0-1DA47253E2A3.jpeg

I got the Woodland Scenics Town & Factory Building Set today. It has 13 Design Preservation Models N scale kits and dozens of metal castings and signs. That oughta keep me busy assembling and painting the kits... maybe take me a month?

    Hmm... I'll supply the
    nails and hammers...
    Kiz, you supply the
    paint rollers and trays...

    Ehhh, where's the photographic proof?!
    o_O
Moose has built a few of those -- bloody pain to paint all the wee bricks, mortar, ledges, window frames and all, but well worth it in the end. Enjoy!

I like the Walthers houses. The cape cod, bungalow, ranch, and two story homes all have optional parts so you can have variation across multiple versions of the same model. I’ve built them all and they were pretty good. They also have a Lancaster farm house style-I have a couple that I haven’t built.

Is that the model power gas station? I have it, haven’t built it yet. Any issues getting the roof together?

Atlas bought BLMA and they have a N Scale Billboard Sign and one of the signs fits a particular theme of yours. The billboards are not cheap but look awesome. I'm gonna get on at some point. I believe those are the signs that are packaged with it? And there are extra you can download from the Atlas site too.

I’ve got one-those are the signs that come with it. You can post two signs-the billboard is a V shape.

You have a picture of one on your layout? I'm gonna order one soon in N Scale.

Just placed an order for one and got $10.00 OFF through an eBay promotion ordering it through the eBay app. Looking forward to getting it!

It is the Model Power. I bought it built up. Sort of a mistake because I could have done more. I wanted to get good yellow paint on the cement colored foundation around the perimeter of the walls - I am going to buy the kit and redo it at some point. The perimeter had all this glue residue from being mounted in the box. Thanks MP. (y)

Sweet I have to check it out. I am good at photoshop so custom billboards will be easy too.
