So I went to a bnsf interview....went though all the steps and interviewed. The next day, I got a conditional letter of employment. When I filled the app out, it asked me for my driving record so I called my insurance agent and had him give me everything that was on my record without thinking about it( which was one speeding ticket back in 2011).While at work today, I was thinking about it and it dawned on me that it was asking for 7 years of driving records. I forgot to put on a seat belt ticket I got a few years back. In the state I live in, a seatbelt ticket doesn't go on my insurance report. Do I need to be worried about this or am I ok still. I have no dui or anything like that. Thanks for the help guys!!

I would want to believe they may be looking more for accidents and moving violations which go on your permanent driving record.

If it's within the timeframe they're asking about, you'd be better off contacting them with the information. The primary concern for them is probably related to safety in general, but if it shows up on a check of your driving record and you haven't said something, you will not look good to them.

I think what they are looking for are DUIs. if you dont have any of those you should be OK.
BTW usually what they want is a report from the Sec'y of State's office of your state(or whichever dep't handles drivers licenses). You have made it pretty far so if they want more info, you will probably be asked to produce it.

It will be interesting to see what they do. I'm just a little nervous about it. I have a good job now but this job will put my family and I back within one hour of family again. Anyone work out of district 300? How's the seniority for mow?

BNSF, Will find that out. Not sure if it is a deal breaker, but they are ALL ABOUT being forth coming with information like that. Contact your human resource person and see what they say. ie, Mistake on your part wanted to contact them and make sure they knew about it and wanting to be forth coming with information. Not sure what to do or say since they have contacted you with the job offer?

I would contact them and make the correction. Honesty is a big part of the interview process.

I just got hired on in nebraska. I had a similar thing on my driving record, I had forgot about an old ticket. But they don't say anything to me about it. I think you'll be fine. Good luck!
