I have an ET-1 switcher that's not reversing and functions aren't working properly. I ordered a new battery after realizing it has been over 8years old, maybe 10. The new battery is much larger than the original and my manual doesn't specify an exact part number. Can anyone help me find the correct battery? 15153477246381873252297.jpg I

OK I found out that this is just a standard 2.4v AAA 700mah battery pack found in cordless phones. Thanks anyway.

There are specialty battery stores in many places these days. We have one in my town, just a few blocks away from home. Prices are frequently better, too.

I think we have a Batteries Plus in town.
They supposedly carry batteries of all shapes and sizes.
I don't know, never been there. And have NOT checked them out online.
    Yet.

I've also seen/heard of a capacitor circuit that can be added, in place
of the onboard batteries. No worries of batteries going dead, or leaking!
Also costly, as I recall, about $50 a piece!

Thanks Keith, I found a wireless phone battery that works great and only $8. It was a lot cheaper than the one sold by Model Train stores.
My only problem is keeping it charged during long periods of no use. They sell a small charger that plugs into the bottom of the engine that I'll have to buy.
