I have 2 new atlas NScale GP40 with factory ESU decoders when in consist both engines have head lights on in forward and both rear light on in reverse and I’m try to just have lead engine lights to work only while in consist and lights to work normal when not in consist I’m using nce power pro. I have a loc programmer don’t know much about using it haven’t had time to play with it

    Need a little more info.
Do both Loco's have the same Number?
What type of consist are you setting up Basic or Advanced?

They have different numbers and setting up a advanced consist the other atlas engines i have with esu factory decoders the lites work fine with just the lead engine headlight works in forward and the front engine reverse light works in reverse and none of the other engine lights work while in consist and that is the way i want the 2 gp40s to work

You need to set the consist options in the Decoder. it is pretty easy with the ESU programmer. jMRI I think has the options as well. Unfortunately I have not gotten set back up to try with JMRI.
