    Greetings fellow Zeeks!

My railroad planning software doesn't support Z scale so I figured I'd do the planning in N after converting my available space however, math is not my best suit. Here's what I've done:

My actual space is 63" x 27". I tried to convert to N and came up with 86" x 37" by multiplying the measurements by 1.375. I did an experiment and converted 96"x48" from N to Z and got 69" x 34" using .727 as a multiplier. Is this correct or was my original assumption wrong to start with?

    Thanks for your input!

    John

0.727 is the inverse of 1.375. So if you multiply the N scale measurement by 0.727 you get the Z measurement and if you divide the N scale measurement by 1.375 you will get the same answer (+/- a very, very small %). :)

John I will second that your math is correct. However I use the Z-trains scratchbuilder calc myself.
