Hi folks, Steve Young here. I live in New Zealand and am interested in trains/railways/railroads all over the world. I have three scales (N, HO and Z) but they're not set up on boards at the moment. When I go into semi-retirement at the end of June, those projects will be ready to start! In real railroading, I am particularly interested in critters/switchers/shunters (depending on what part of the world you're in!) Cheers
Too bad you aren't in the U.S. People might mistake you for a famous retired athlete of the same name (if I said football player you'd think he played soccer, so I'll say veteran of the gridiron). Welcome! And I call switchers yard goats. Don't have any made by Mitsubishi, though.
Hi Steve, Welcome to Trainboard. I retired 2 years ago, and I have HO, N, and Z, but I am focusing on Z, and will donate all my HO, and sell off my N eventually. I like the challenge Z gives, where I can't buy what i want so am forced to do some real modeling. Anyways, you will find forums here for every aspect of all your modeling efforts.
Welcome Steve. Currently, I am using the term "shifter" for my 0-6-0. And remember, you will always be Young...
Haha, yeah, I first heard about that guy back in the '90s. I can assure you, my physique is not up to being a quarterback!
