Hello Folks, I usually am on the HO threads but yesterday I was given a box and told it was old train pieces and when I opened it,VOILA !! O Scale Lionel.
I uploaded the pics to my album, I tried to here but I couldn't.
I would sure appreciate any info about this set. Is it a collectable?still used today? I am sure you can appreciate my excitement, like a kid with a new toy!!. I am just now starting to lay track on my HO layout, so you see I am quite new to MRR. Thanks in advance for your help. If the pics are not good enough, I will be glad to take more. Cheers

Hi Joseph. I am NO expert on these but it looks like post-war, probably 1960s or 1970s. Just a guess, there are folks out there that know much better than I.

Looks like Lionel from Post WWII, pre-MPC. Their famous 1945-1969 era. I see an operating milk car. Those are a hoot! That little guy inside could really toss the cans! I had several. Trying to remember their numbers. 3462? 3472?

Looks like a Pennsy loco, but a 2-6-4? What class is that? Not only the operating milk car but a log or coal dump car as well. :teeth:
