With permission from E-8, I had a Train Board T shirt made up with the new official logo as a experiment and it came out great. Whats great about the T shirt company I found is that there are no minimum quantities to order, there are many different ways to have the shirt set up and you can choose from the colors of ash, black or white. Sizes include from small to 2 extra large. I included pictures so everyone can see how it turned out. What do you think??? I will be wearing this proudly at the East Coast Large Scale Train show in ork Pennsylvania. I think it came out great.

Looks great, I'd be interested in getting one, some questions first....
    - Can I have my logon name on only one shirt, if not, how many do I need to buy?
    - Manufacturer and material of basic shirt?
    - Price?
    - Does a percentage of the price go to the Trainboard?
    - If not, consider raising the price by a couple of bucks and sending it to Charlie.
    - Lead time, or schedule?

I agree I think this would be a great way to help support the trainboard. I also think maybe a boxcar with the logo in various scales would be a good fundraiser.

Good idea and points brought out. I would be interested in one; also to add a Golf shirt in same theme might come later for those that don't wear "T" Shirts

    I'd certainly take one!
T-shirt OK, but a golf/polo style would be fine with me also.
But, I'd like it in a 3x. Like having the extra room!
And sometimes, a 2x just does not quite fit!
Or, could I supply my preferred style/size shirt??
    A suggestion anyway.

Yes you can have your log on name on the shirt only, there are many ways this company can set up these shirts

The shirt is made by a compnay called Anvil and is made from 99% pre shrunk coton.

I had this shirt made up because I was wanting something official with a train board logo and at this time there was no royalties paid. I'm sure if this became a popular thing everyone wanted it would be no problem, but thats up to Charlie. Since this was a experiment no funds went to train board, however all the fees for this shirt were paid by me.

Lead time depends on what you want to pay, to get it withing 7 days cost a addintional $7. Here is the break down on pricing from the company I found. Basic white T shirt $9.49, Ash grey color shirt is a additional $2.99, double x size is another $1.99, uploading a photo design $4.99. Total price with my options was $19.46 Again cost varies upon the options you choose.

I hope this info was helpful

Right now I just spent the time trying to find a T shirt company that could do what was needed without a big cost but have lots of options. I'm also a lover of polo and golf t shirts, so give me some time and I will try and find a place that could perhaps do a stitching of the logo on a polo shirt, would this be satisfactory to those who love polo shirts rather than a iron on. Although I'm sure the cost would be higher than a T shirt.

Nice Idea with the polo shirts, and sure not an issue with me on the added cost for the quality.

Awesome! I would love a basic one--do they do this in black or gray?

Thank you for the answers, quite helpful. However, you just raised another concern. I was assuming the images would be silk-screened, and thus long-lasting. Iron-on images tend to fade after just a few washings, and disappear after a few dozen. I doubt if I would purchase a T with an iron-on image.

If the images are applied by sublimation they will last. I would ask the printer if that is how it is done.

You can also have them done at a site like Cafe Press, where you upload the graphic you want, and they print the shirt as you like. If you setup a storefront there, you can offer all kinds of Trainboard products, and set the price such that Trainboard get's a dollar from each purchase.

I setup a store for out BAZ BoyZ club stuff, and it was easy:

I want one! Anvil Tees are good quality. As an aside to tee quality, I have one made by Gulf Coast, Clute, TX, from a 1981 racquetball tournament. I used to play racquetball in this shirt all the time, have worn it probably once a week forever and it is still in excellent condition. I'm keeping it as a monument to that company, as it will be 30 years old next year. I wonder if that Gulf Coast outfit is still in business?

Yes, you assumed right, the image you see on the shirt is not a iron on.

When I quoted prices please keep in mind it was for one shirt. For instance if there was a order for 50 white t shirts, the base cost would start at $9.49 and a one time fee of $4.99 photo upload for all 50 shirts instead of each and then the combined shipping would further reduce the price for each shirt. Size 2x is a additional cost.

Fitz, I couldn't agree more, they use pre shrunk cotton so the shirt will never shrink and it's made from high quality cotton. I chose all cotton due to some people may be allergic to a poleyster mix. Some peoples skin can get ichy or aggravted by a polyester mix.

SecretWeapon, Charlie could tell you best thats the exact reason why I have been wanting a shirt because I know people like to wear shirts representing thier clubs or web sites to train shows. I asked Charlie 1 year ago but he but it on the back burner but when the new logo came out I'm glad he gave me permission to make up a shirt to see how it came out.
