Has anyone here disassembled any Woodland Scenics Vehicles? I picked up their police car used at a train show recently. It's basically not a bad looking 1949-51 Ford except for the totally incorrect grille (probably done to avoid licensing fees). I want to replace the grille with a 3D printed item, but haven't yet figured out how to get the car apart without destroying it. Thanks in advance for any ideas.

It's a '49 or '50. The '51 doesn't have that cutout in the top of the grille frame to clear the big spinner, because the '51 has two smaller spinners.

Paint the center of the grille black and just print the crossbar and spinner and lay it in. You might have to file the top bar of the grille frame a little, to make room to clear the spinner.

Duh! I always tend to overcomplicate things alright. Thanks for pointing out the easy way. You're also absolutely right about the '51 not having the cutout, but I wasn't going to rule it out until I had a look at the body without the grille shell to make sure the cutout was actually there.
