Rock Island RR ceased ops to Colorado Springs in the 1970s. The city recently pulled up the tracks that ran across this trestle and in to the city, four miles away, and created a bike/pedestrian path.
It looks like the piece at left is just hanging. By a thread. It's good that photos of places like this need to be taken to preserve whatever railroad history is left.
