This picture was taken during the open house on 9 Aug 01. The weather was great (hot actually) and the visitors had a good time. Most said it was the only "diesel" show of the trip. Can't be! Well maybe every one else operates steam engines but I find they're a great deal of trouble for the same reasons they aren't run on the prototype railroads. I limit my 2-8-0 to Christmas runs. Also may be one of the last pics at this location. Looking for a smaller house on a flat piece of land. We'll see.
Dave, Looks real nice, be a shame to have to abandon it since it's "up & running". I too run diesels- easier to keep on the track. Good Luck with your possible move!
Dave, The scene looks excellent, How did the day go? I'm sure all the members would like to hear about it and maybe if you could post a couple more pics of the whole railroad?
