In the summer I want to run trains outside, had thought of G scale ,but no time and Space for another scale of trains. Then I thought why not removable outside HO scale using Bachmann EZ track ( like Unitrack better, but EZ track is cheaper and much more used for sale). Something I can set up for the day and take down with no need for different rolling stock. Started building the track sections but with heavy modifications.

Glued then solder the curves into quarter sections ( 18 & 22 r) and have some micro plugs to connect for good conduct.

did the same with building long strait sections , making short sections with notch cut in rail for a isolated sidings and branch lines with a small slide switch for open power.

Will have extra power connections plugs soldered in for no electrical problem. ( can get 30 good plugs for $13 off the bay )
then airbrush weathering on the track. It is only going to be DC. Need to enjoy the outdoor when we can up north and I have many friends we children that I know will enjoy seeing the trains run with out me having to clean up my train room so my wife will allow people in the basement. LOL
Hope to test outdoors in the next week or so

Have fun. I did it in O gauge in the '90s.

I have started building some EZ track dioramas with operating log loaders so we can use with friends kids. Of course I could not just use the Cox and LIFE-Like building in stock form I had to start weathering and adding detail ect.. The cars also needed work. Added body mount knuckle couplers.

Here is one Diorama that I finished using old LL log dumper. Had to dress it up a little. Will set up outside later after I finish a few more.
