    Hello All:

I recently purchased several undecorated Intermountain and P2K covered hopper kits and have a
couple questions about paint schemes for this cars.

First, did any northeastern roads (e.g. LV, Erie, EL, C&O, B&O, NYC, etc.) have a 4427 high-side covered hopper like the P2K model? If so, where can I get the decals?

Second, I plan to do a couple of the IM kits as Penn Central car. I know IM already offers their 4750 covered hopper in Penn Central, but I think the green paint used is way too dark. Again, I need to know where to get the decal sets. Microscale offers several decals, but none specifically for this car type. Does anyone make a complete set?

    Thanks, Mark

Mark, the only Northeast Railroad to own the P2K cars was the B&O who had 36 #602900-602935. Herald King has a set for a PS 3-bay hopper H-564 but do not know if the dimensional data is for a 4427 or other car. The WH Shurtief Co from Maine had some of these cars and both Herald King and Highball Graphics make decals for the car.

The decal to use for the PC Cars is H-363 but those are listed as out of stock at Herald King, might find some at flea-bay. Use the H-56 Class number off the decal as that was the PC class for those cars.
