second thoughts on tender connection I have changed the tender connection to a piece of flat bar drilled to sit over the centre pin in the marklin coupling box with a brass track pin at the other end soldered on. The round wire idea worked but the radius left when I bent it meant that the front truck on the tender tried to lift under tension. I have melted the plastic pin over the bar, in effect riveting on I have also spaced the loco and tender further apart because I am going to try and reproduce the flexible diaphragm between the two using the old fashioned black folded paper method We used to use back in the sixties on OO gauge coaches. I'll put some pictures up after this easters show

Hello folks Some time ago I started to assamble two kits. One for Jürg and one for me. There is realy no space for the original cylinders. So I made a piece of brass to lead the rods. This is the bottom of the tender. I made new bolts to fix the trucks.
Yes where did you get those trucks? Very nice work! Some of you guys are just too good at what you do!
That piece of brass you made for the drivers, do you have anymore, i have had a problem with the plastic and this would save me. JD
Hi @ Jeff: the trucks came from a Märklin heavy duty flat car. @ Garth: only If You are very lucky You can find a kit. They are already very rare @ jdo: no spare parts, sorry
Garth try London Bridge Toys, he may be able to get you one, I know he did the casting for the Tender. JD
Thanks JD The web site dosn't hold promise as it has not been updated since 2007, but we sent a message through and will see what transpires.
Garth, London Bridge is more of a phone/mail order business as the owner (Ron Ruddell) is not overly computer friendly. He is, however, extremely helpful and knowledgeable in Z. He has a part time employee that does most of his e-mail and website updates. If you give him a call, he should be able to help you. Dan S.
Garth I was at London Bridge tonight, he has some in stock. And yes call him, he is not much into the computer part yet.
