Two shades of green were airbrushed. Orange and black details were hand painted.

I returned into SM30 shounter project. Locomotive was missing railings. Some are easier to do:

Some are more complicated... My first serious soldering exercise with such tiny items:

    IMG_3340.jpg

Final result could be better and the other side is still waiting:

    Pawel,
Nice first attempt. It's pretty hard to solder railing.
When I did railing for the camelback, I first carved the railing into a block of maple wood.
Then I taped the wires in place. I used .008 thick brace wire.
The block and tape held everting in place while I soldered. I soldered butt joints.
The second time around I bent loops into the wire, for stronger joints.

SM30 shounter is finished. I worked on ghost-car and another boxcar as well. Yellow hooks, white brake wheels were added and some weathering applied.

Super nice builds, really like your work :)
Do you print / etch your own brake wheels and hooks or do you have a supplier?

Thank you for the comment. Brake wheels and hooks were photoetched by my friend who had a time of Z-scale fascination. Eventually he went into N-scale and I bought some items for really small money.

Instead of soldering use ca super glue and touch the joints up with a small drop of epoxy glue. This worked well for my gp40-2.

I have several Marklin locos rebuild and repainted. The boxes indicate old- original model. I decided to change it:

    Pudelka.jpg

I also have many pieces of rolling stock without original boxes. For better storage I finally decided to buy High Tech Modellbahnen products. I also added description of content of the individual box.

One of the waiting projects is EC Wawel train travelling from Krakow (Poland) to Hamburg (Germany). It was interesting with 2 German and 2 Polish wagons: https://www.ok-kolej.pl/details.php?image_id=10970

For German part Marklin models can be used out of the box. Polish must be made by repainting some Marklin stuff. The first one is ready:

One Polish and one German car:
