Today, while cleaning out the garage for a planned N Scale layout, I found several of my CDs of photos of my August 2005 trip to the Railroad Museum of PA. One of its treasures is the 1943, Juniata Shops-built GG1, #4935. It was beautifully restored in 1977. I plan to get back to Strasburg soon. Dave
Wow, that's beautiful Dave and it's nice to see it stored safely indoors out of the weather. The 4919 was beautifully restored at the museum in Roanoke in the early 1980s, but has suffered terribly outdoors since. My wife and I have been to Strasburg twice and have enjoyed riding the Strasburg Railroad so much that we have never had the time to see the museum. Next time for sure.
I also was at Strasburg, October, 2019 to photograph/video N&W 611. Which I did as she accelerated past my coach window. Alas, I, like you, photographed the Museum from across the road. Though I WILL return to spend a few days inside the museum soon, I hope.
