    In the 1979 and 1980 steam seasons, NS found itself without suitable steam power for its growing fantrip program. As such, it leased CP Royal Hudson 2839. These slides were taken in Knoxville, TN in 1979.

    During the N Scale Enthusiast (AKA Collector) convention in Roanoke in 2014, one of the board members got permission from NS to put a vinyl applique on the car as it was parked at the Museum of Transportation at the time. We all had to then troop down to the museum to get a photo. Someone said they had done a special run Microtrains car of the prototype already.

    Trying to think where this was taken. Just east of Whitney? Can't think of the name for the lumber outfit there. They have a big yard.
