UP: What ended up being the problem with the GIF? I am curious so we can be more helpful in the future.

Anyway, I am glad that you got it to work.

Yeah, what was the problem? I'm guessing that the address had a typo in it, because now I see that all of your past messages have the gif showing up. Did I give you a bad title for it? If so, I apologize. :(

I don't really know for sure, after all I'm not a computer geek (sorry if I offended any :D ). It's ok Fitz, it wasn't your fault bud, I might have gotten confused at first. Thanks for the help BNSF, the gif was kinda getting me mixed up, and some guys were trying to help me out like Fitz and the rest of the fellas on here. I didn't understand what was said at first until you, BNFS, came and sorted it out. Your Private IM said something about a button on the bottom of the sig, so I looked and no button. It's ok guys, I got it on here and it's staying on here, no need to worry about it now, lets talk trains shall we?

UP, sorry about the mix up with the button for the img stuff. I was going from memory and got that part wrong. The rule is any graphic/photo must have [IMG]after the URL of that image before it will show up. Sometimes you have to type it in yourself. If I hadn't said something about the button you probably wouldn't have had so much trouble. :( :(

Fitz the # of that thing is right on it you know! 4017, at the National Railroad Museum, Green Bay, WI .

Back to the Rivarossi engine...I just pre ordered mine off an Ebay store for $315.00, the guy is ordering 12 of them at that price, and it includes priority shipping and insurance! Anyone interested respond back, I think there's two left.

Jeff, before I moved to PA from MD I went to a train store near downtown Baltimore and purchased a Rivarossi Big Boy that costed me $200 (originally $250), I had $150 on me and I bummed $50 off my dad. But when I got home I gave him my $80 Civil War train set, so either way I look at it he earned $30 bucks. You just have to look hard enough to find what you want at a reasonable price.

Jeff, I was just about to post that deal. Quite good if it actually works out---I checked the background on them and they look pretty good. My hesitation is that I don't order from anyone who doesn't list a phone # with their site. His ebay ratings are good though so I hope it works out.

BTW Eric, you were right about the Y3s and the 3rd run. My hat's off to you on that call. Did you get one reserved? I hope that one of the sites I listed worked well for you. [IMG]

Did you find the Class J gif link that I sent you? Have you tried to get it to work in your signature? Follow page 5 of this post to review how to get it to work for you if you want.

Gosh, that image of 4017 WAS too easy wasn't it? I just figured we all needed something easy after all the brain twisting that went on over those signature items. Jeff, let us help you with the J. Looks like you have the code right. [IMG] [IMG]

Fitz: I am glad you posted it because that gif thing was beginning to use up all my brain cells. I remember how I felt trying to get it working. It only worked after you posted them to your website. Who knows why that made the difference. I would really love to find a Allegheny and Class A gif now. I guess someone will have to specially make it for us though. Maybe in time.

BTW, in talking with my RIV consultant I discovered the rationale behind the price fluctuation on the Allegheny. The situation is this: Until November the price is $485 or so, but come mid November it jumps to $599. This is by design so that we all will jump on the band wagon early and buy it at the $485 price. It also helps them plan how many to build in the first run since all the orders have to be pre-orders to get the cheaper price. Sneaky Rossi!
The best buy is the $315 already talked about in this post, but $350 should be a good standard.

I have been promised the advertisement poster that has just come out and that I posted a picture of in the Allegheny brochure post. Love to have that to go with the loco. [IMG]

I tell ya what I'm gonna do, I'm gonna wait until the price on the Allegheny goes down, say about $200 when the hype is over. I waited for the Big Boy's price to go down, that was for about 5 yrs.
