Here's the information on our present contest:

This contest will last through February 13, 2001.

The contest theme is "Best Railroad Related Web Site."

    This is the judging criteria:

Presentation. (Does it look good? Yes, we realize this is subject to interpretation.)

Content. (Does the site have relevant information?)

Ease of use. (Is the site easy to browse?)

Quality of pictures (if you have them).

Speed the web site downloads. (We realize that you can not control the speed of your provider. This relates to adding things on your site to slow it down, etc.)
    [/list]

To enter, just post a link to your web site and also please tell a little bit about it. It might be helpful to know how your site came to exist and some of the other history behind it.

Do not be afraid to enter your site because you looked at someone else's site and feel that yours can't compare. As with all of our contests, it isn't about winning. It's about learning, having fun, and seeing new things. Besides, the winning site is only "the best" in someone's opinion.

Your site may not be complete (are they ever?), or you may not know how to fix a problem you have. Other users can help you and tell you about any problems so you will probably get some help by entering. Remember, HTML help is available anytime in The Club Car Forum.

Adding your site will mean increased traffic during the contest period. Darren (Moderator Stourbridge Lion) has offered his site as an example - http://www.trainweb.org/dhvm - of a site that can be critiqued. Earlier, several users gave Darren constructive criticism regarding his site development.

Please post your site link as a NEW TOPIC and not as a reply to someone else's. Then, discussion in that thread will revolve around your site.

If you do not have any idea how to start making a web site, please post in The Club Car Forum. Plenty of help is available to get you started.

Webmasters - remember, we do exchange links. See our links page at http://www.trainboard.com/links/

I should add that the Moderators vote at the end of the contest and the users comments (when people indicate that they really enjoy a particular site) are taken into account.

You will notice that some Moderators enter the contest. No special treatment is given to a Moderator and if a Moderator enters, he is no longer allowed to vote. [IMG]
