StikyMonk, the little engine on your first picture is not a switcher. It`s called "Tractor" and is used for maintenance of way.
Hello Stefan, welcome to Trainboard Good to see someone from one of my favourite countries for watching trains! Here is another small Swiss locomotive, a BVZ tractor at Zermatt [ 22. March 2003, 22:36: Message edited by: Alan ]
Yes William, there are several Here is another Swiss shunting locomotive. An Ee3/3 which is station pilot at Brig
Here is BLS 56, a Tem2/2 at Kandersteg, Switzerland on a work train. These locomotives can use the overhead electric power, or diesel power.
Hi Alan, I`ve heard a lot about you. A friend of mine models SantaFe in N-scale. He owns some of your exelent "Spine Cars". Stefan Railfan`s Homepage
Hi Stefan, yes, my spinecars are in most parts of the world I just had a look at your website, good photographs, and interesting site. Do you have any photographs of Swiss trains you can share with us? It is several years since I visited your country, so am interested in the current scene. The Re460's were just arriving the last time I was there!
Thought you might like to see the N-scale version of the Swiss Tm lll tractors shown in this thread. They were produced by Arnold who claimed that they were the smallest working N-scale models commercially available. The snow-plough fitted tractor was a limited edition and it took me ages to track one down. John
Unfortunately I have just a few SBB pics. I`ll post some frequently. Here`s the first. Stefan Railfan`s Homepage [ 05. April 2003, 13:33: Message edited by: Stefan ]
Thanks Stefan, Nice selection of locos.......where's the location ? It looks vaguely familiar. John. P.S. I have just looked at the photo filename and assume it is Erstfeld. Do you have any photos of the Historic Loks based there ? [ 05. April 2003, 14:10: Message edited by: John Whitby ]
I have always liked the Ae6/6 locomotives, good to see one with the chrome bands around the ends, but they also look great in red!. Also a good contrast between the Re460 and the Re6/6. More, please
Yes Johnny. I know a guy who is trying to fit a DCC decoder to one Take care, John [ 06. April 2003, 08:32: Message edited by: John Whitby ]
John, the location is Erstfeld. I`m working here as a locomotive engineer I have only one pic with the historic "Krokodil" and the Ae 8/14 leaving Erstfeld with a special train. Stefan Railfan`s Homepage
