Hmmm. Well, maybe they'll expend some energy on getting long (years now) out of stock items (such as wheelsets) back to available... I have had some on back order for at least SIX years now. (Yes. I am aware of the problems with Chinese production, etc. That was a few years back now.....!)

From what I have seen over the years...'acquisitions' don't really mean we will see much of anything 'new' in the way of the 'acquired' companies products. JMO

Agreed! (y) Many times we don't even see even new releases of existing products.

not a surprise to me. FVM super detailed engines are just as good as Scale Trains. Plus they run great together.

Scale Trains is a very energetic new company with high modeling standards. They are using FVM technical personnel and factory. It doesn't get much better that that. - Tonkphilip

Someone will correct me if I am wrong...but...

Didn't Walthers buy Life Like ?...and I don't remember seeing anything Life Like related from Walthers.

Didn't Atlas buy BLMA? ...and if I recall Craig even went to work for Atlas. Have we seen anything BLMA related from Atlas?

Like I said...correct me if I am wrong. I am an old skeptic and things don't stick between the ears like they used to.:p

They did, and now Atlas owns some of the items and have been releasing them slowly.
I'm sure someone will chime in with the items.

Yes, but Atlas is using a lot of the BLMA items and releasing them under the Atlas Name.

Well, Allen is right, Walthers did do a couple of LL reruns and Atlas has done some reruns of BLMA jus rebranded Atlas. The difference being you can buy Walthers and Atlas from just about any hobby shop and e-tailer, Scale Trains on the other hand...... That's all I'm going to say about it.

Just filling in some of the blanks around the Walthers LL products that were sold to Atlas:
LL GP20 and GP60 (currently on Atlas production schedule.
They were also going to rerun the Y3 2-8-8-2 and possibly the 2-8-4.
I did ask them about the Erie builts and they got those as well.
I'm not sure whether they got the E8 and E3/6 tooling. I know that the tooling for the 0-8-0 seems to have gone missing because they didn't get that.
This is just the result of a conversation I had with an Atlas staff member. quite a while ago

Yeah.....walthers even got as far as releasing a DCC friendly version of the old LL SWs, which was about the last thing they did........on that subject, one thing that went across was the LL RS2, which was a DCC friendly chassis. Atlas never had a DCC friendly RS chassis, but I see the newest release of the Atlas RS3 and RSD4/5 have a gold version/DCC availably. Anyone have a clue if the new shell/chassis is interchangable with to older version?
Atlas also released the RS2, the FA/FB1, and the GP20, as well as a number of different Walthers cars.
Walthers also sold their passenger car line to Railsmith, and they've been releasing a lot of cars.
