No problem to fix these up. A little baling wire, some duct tape, a couple hours of hammer, torch and cussing, they'll be good as new.

Meanwhile, I'm thinking a couple of people may be applying for jobs at the local burger belch.

I'm waiting to learn if MRL will be the new owner of a GE...

A sad sight, but there are still plenty more heritage cars out there. I had a Great Northern Railroad grain hopper in my consist the other night. It looked relatively new, I just couldn't take a picture because of the company's safety policy. :uhoh:

    Spooky-

Once you've tied up, can you take pictures? I'd believe that's OK, to do so from public viewing places just like the rest of us?

It sure is, the only problem is that sometimes it's a half-mile or more down the consist and I'm pooped, haha. Next time I'll see one, I'll try to grab a shot before I leave. We get all sorts of engines down at the depot too. A few of my trains have had Canadian National, Union Pacific or CSX power. I'll try to grab some pictures of those too.

I'll pull or spot a 100+ car BNSF grain train at work at least once a week and I've yet to see a heritage car!
